Can there be more than one Video Phone on the same account?

Unlike regular phones, you cannot connect more than one Video Phone to the same telephone number. However, you can have multiple Video Phones at the same location, each having a separate number, and all those numbers can be tied into the same account. You can purchase ACN Video Links that allow you to move your video phone from one room to another and add a cordless base station with extensions so you can have phone service in other rooms.

Can the IRIS V place calls to older model video phones?

Will the IRIS V Video Phone call wireless phones or non-ACN Video Phones?

Your Video Phone works like a regular phone while calling other telephones, mobile phones and phones with Digital Phone Service. Therefore you will not have difficulty making and receiving calls to other phones that are not Video Phones. Currently you can make and receive video calls to other users who are also subscribed to ACN Digital Phone Service.

Am I able to keep my current telephone number?

In most cases, ACN is able to transfer your existing number. When you switch to ACN Digital Phone Service, simply enter your phone number during the sign-up process, and complete the registration process.

  • Transfers take 2 - 4 weeks from the time you confirm your request
  • During sign up, provide a Digital Signature to initiate the request
  • The transfer cannot be stopped once processing has started
  • Your account will not be active until the number transfer is complete

With ACN, you can get a temporary phone number to use while your existing number is being transferred so you can begin to use your ACN Digital Phone Service right away! Once the transfer is complete, you can choose to disconnect the temporary number, convert it to a virtual phone number or add it as a second line (phone adapters only). Please note your monthly ACN Digital Phone Service charges will begin once your temporary phone number is activated.
Note: Wireless and Toll Free numbers cannot be transferred.

Configuring Your Router (Advanced Users Only)

You should only attempt to configure your router if you have an advanced understanding of Port Triggering and how it relates to your network.

If your ACN Video Phone is connected to a router, you may need to configure the router to allow your device to function. For specifics on how to configure your router, refer to the User Manual that came with your router or visit the manufacturer’s website.

Once you have located the router’s User Manual, refer to the section pertaining to Port Triggering and QoS configurations. These are usually located under Firewall, Applications & Gaming or Advanced.

Your Port Triggering rules should be configured to UDP Ports 5000-5001, 5065-5066, and 9000-9201, and QoS should be configured to give your ACN device “Highest” network priority. In some instances Port Trigger and QoS configurations are not effective. In those instances, configure your router so your video phone is in the router’s “DMZ” or disabling the router’s SPI functionality, following instructions provided by your router’s user manual.

There are many home network routers on the market with multiple configuration options and features.
