What equipment do I need to have in order to get DIRECTV P.R.?
The basic installation of DIRECTV P.R. includes a receiver, dish of 24”, a LNB, cables, remote control. To enjoy all the benefits from DIRECTV P.R. the receiver should be connected to a phone line.

How can I arrange for a professional installation?
You just need to place your order today at 1-800-856-1795, and a technician will call you between 5 to 7 days to schedule an appointment to do the installation.

What should I expect when a professional installer comes to my home?
The DIRECTV installer will set up your DIRECTV® System for you. This includes mounting your dish and connecting the receiver to your TV. You'll also learn how to use the system.

Do I need a phone line for DIRECTV to be installed?
You do not need a phone line to have DIRECTV installed; you can enjoy DIRECTV without a phone line. However, if you want DIRECTV Plus DVR and/or you want the ability to order Pay Per View channels from your remote control, a phone line is required to send the information for DVR service and Pay Per View requests to DIRECTV.

Can I install the antenna inside my house?
In order to receive an excellent DIRECTV signal, the antenna should point directly to the southwest to avoid any reception interference.

If I install the antenna outside my house, can it be stolen?
Besides the fact that the antenna will be installed in a discreet location, it is a useless item without the box receiver.

Can I paint the antenna?
You can do it, but this can interfere with the reception signal.

If I move, can I also move my service?
Yes. DIRECTV P.R. covers every area in Puerto Rico, Vieques y Culebra. You need to call DIRECTV Customer Service at 866-347-3288 to schedule an appointment (note: you must call the sales number for new accounts).

Can weather conditions may interfere with my service?
DIRECTV P.R. guarantees an excellent signal 99.6% of the time. The service can be affected for some severe weather conditions, but if that happens, it should be only for a few minutes.

Can I use my existing wiring for DIRECTV?
No. As a new customer, DIRECTV provides you with new equipments and installation under the new promotion and package.
